Greetings, chat with me for an interactive expereince👋
If you are new to the world of neurodivergence — welcome. You are in the right place.
Let's start with a quick definition:
Neurodivergent (ND) → A brain that works differently from what society considers "typical." This includes autism, ADHD, AuDHD, and other cognitive profiles.
Neurotypical (NT) → A brain that processes information, senses, and social cues in ways that align with societal expectations.
Now, let's talk about something important.
Many neurodivergent individuals grow up feeling misunderstood because the way we usually understand neurodivergence is built on observation (looking at someone's behavior from the outside).
This is called the outside-in framework. It's what happens when clinicians, teachers, or parents look at visible behaviors and compare them to neurotypical expectations.
But here's the problem: behaviors are not the full story.
An alternative is the inside-out framework — which prioritizes the person's lived experience, internal feelings, and self-reported reality over what an observer can see from the outside.
