About Ms. T

Welcome

Welcome. I'm glad you're here.

I'm Tahirat Nasiru, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, neurodiversity researcher, and mental fitness educator. For years, I have had the privilege of learning from hundreds of neurodivergent individuals through clinical practice, interviews, community conversations, and lived-experience narratives.

Those conversations changed the way I understand ADHD, Autism, and AuDHD.

I noticed that many people were describing experiences that existing clinical language did not fully capture. People often knew what they struggled with, but they did not have language that accurately described what those experiences felt like from the inside.

That observation became the foundation of AUplusDHD.

Today, I create educational resources, visual frameworks, and practical tools that help people understand their minds with greater clarity and less shame.

My Role...

A Translator of Lived Experience

I don't believe my role is to speak for the neurodivergent community. My role is to listen carefully, identify recurring patterns, compare them with current research, and translate those patterns into language that is practical, compassionate, and easy to understand.

Every infographic, worksheet, metaphor, and learning module on this website is built using the same process:

  • Listening to lived experiences

  • Identifying common patterns

  • Reviewing existing research

  • Translating complex ideas into practical tools

The goal is simple: to help neurodivergent people better understand themselves and help the people who care about them better understand what life feels like from the inside.

My Philosophy

I believe understanding creates self-compassion.

When people finally have language that reflects their internal experience, something important often happens. Self-blame begins to decrease. Confusion becomes understanding. Many people realize they were never broken. They simply needed explanations that matched their lived experience.

That is why I focus on creating educational frameworks that prioritizes an inside-out approach to understanding neurodiversity.
