Mr. Auddy Fisher is a neurodivergent fish navigating a world built for land animals. He carries two nervous systems that frequently want opposite things at the same time. He craves novelty and needs sameness. He seeks deep connection and requires solitude. He hyperfocuses with extraordinary intensity — and loses things he cares about in the noise of his own mind.

The AUDHD Internal Tension

Auddy is AuDHD — both Autistic and ADHD. And inside him, two very different needs are always in conversation.

The ADHD part of him wants to explore, discover, follow every thread of curiosity wherever it leads — to move, create, and try everything.

The Autistic part of him needs sameness. Predictability. The deep comfort of known things and familiar routines.

These two needs don't cancel each other out. They negotiate. Some days one wins. Some days neither does.

His Home

Auddy's dome house sits by the water. He built it precisely — soft light, quiet rooms, his collections within reach, water visible from every window. A telescope for the hours when his mind locks onto something and won't let go. A boat for when he simply needs to move.

It is not a hiding place. He still goes out every day. But it is the place he returns to that makes going out possible.

His Fishbowl

Auddy's glass fishbowl helmet is not a costume. It is simply how he exists in the world — carrying his ocean with him wherever he goes. Inside it, the water is galaxy-deep. Swirling, luminous, vast.

What looks like a limitation from the outside is the whole universe from the inside.

He doesn't always understand this at first. But in time, he comes to see it not as the thing that marks him as different — but as the accommodation that makes everything else possible.
